Wednesday May 12
30 Minutes after the Malinois Only trial $20 Entry Fee 50% to Rescue 50% to Jackpot for Winners 1st 50% of Jackpot 2nd 25% 3rd 12% 4th 6% 5th 4% 6th 2% Following the National Malinois-only herding trial to be held May 12 at Purina Farms, we are going to have a fun jackpot trial. A jackpot means that all proceeds not needed to pay for expenses goes back to the winners of the trial. Since Purina Farms does not charge us for sheep rental, half the proceeds will go to our Malinois Rescue. We are planning on charging $20 per entry. For every entry, 50% will go to rescue, and 50% will go to the jackpot to be paid to the winners as follows. First place 50%, Second place 25%, Third place 12% fourth place 6%, fifth place 4% and sixth place 2%. Any leftover money will also be donated to rescue. The jackpot trial is open to all breeds and all levels of herding. This is not a recognized AKC trial, and will be held 1/2 hour after the 2nd herding trial has ended. All rules concerning the safety of the livestock will be enforced. In other words, no inappropriate gripping and no harassing the sheep. The judge and/or committee will make the decision if a dog needs to be removed from the course. We invite all handlers and dogs with some experience in herding, to enter! This is a fun event and we hope to raise money for the ABMC rescue program. |
