Herding will be held at Purina Farms, in a 100 x 200 outdoors arena. We are excited this year to be offering both cattle and sheep in both trials. AKC rules allow you to enter both in cattle and sheep, in the same trial. The Sheep are from Purina Farms, and are Katahdin Crossbred sheep. The cattle are being rented from Darrel Reeves, and are Black Angus, both heifers and steers. Darrel will work the cattle thru the winter months, so they will be *dog broke*. Also, these same cattle will be used by the St Louis Herding club at their trials in the spring (check the AKC calendar). It's an opportunity for those living relatively close to Purina Farms to work these cattle before our specialty.

We will have two herding trials, both on the same day. All levels will be available, as well as HT and PT. Our two judges are Ann Witte of Springfield, Ne (bio listed), who has been judging herding trials since the mid-90's, and breeds and shows Bearded Collies. Our second judge is Sue Haase, of Gardnerville, Nv. Sue is one of the ABMC members, and will be judging the Malinois only trial.

Also new this year, will be a Jackpot run, see the info listed under Rescue activities.
