Russ Beach's bio:
I obtained my first Belgian in 1983, a Belgian Tervuren named Class. Since
that time many more have come and gone and most know me as a Belgian Tervuren
owner. However I currently reside with 11 mostly older Belgians of all 4
varieties. Funny thing with Belgians, you just can't have one! Over the years I
have dabbled in obedience, agility, herding, tracking and of course
conformation. It is in the conformation ring that I am the most comfortable. I
am also a UKC Multi Breed judge. With over 300 breeds represented I have 3 left
to complete to then be an All Breed judge. I love to travel, and show dogs. With
those two things I have shown dogs in many countries and met many people that I
continue to correspond with today. I have had the pleasure of winning Best In
Show at the French National Specialty 2 times! Being the only American to have
done so was a thrill of a lifetime. I have also won BIS at the Belgian National
Specialty in Belgium, Canada, America and UKC. I have competed at Crufts,
Eukanuba and Westminster. My love of the Malinois has been as with all the
varieties in their unique look and their amazing athletic and mental abilities.
I look forward to my assignment with hopes of seeing young dogs that will be the
future of our breed. To the Veterans who have already given us the stepping
stones. I hope to see old and new friends at this years Nationals. Thank you
ABMC for entrusting me with this honor.
