Rusty's Award of Canine Excellence for Heroism or Special Talent

offered by Sharon Sparks Burke

Do you know or own a Malinois who has done something truly outstanding? If so, please consider nominating that dog for an incredibly special award called "Rusty's Award of Canine Excellence for Heroism or Special Talent". There is no cost to nominate a dog for this distinction. The following rules apply to the award:

The nominated dog must accomplish something out of the ordinary which calls attention to the outstanding capabilities of the breed.
All titles, including numbers of BIS, group placements, and BOB, will be immaterial unless accomplished through circumstances which are out of the ordinary.
The nominated dog must be a Belgian Malinois or at least look enough like one for an ILP. Dog does not need to be registered to qualify.
Judges must be able to verify the authenticity of all stories provided.
This award is for outstanding service to humanity and Canine Excellence and will be given annually at the ABMC Awards Banquet held in conjunction with the ABMC National Specialty Show (need not be present to win, though attendance of the winner would be very welcomed).
Deadline to receive this year's nominations is April 1, 2004.
